Thanksgiving, a time to reflect and give thanks. This year I am thankful for my family and friends of course and all of the traveling opportunities I've had. As a young girl I remember all of my family gathering during this time to make tamales,ponche, bunuelos, and other holiday delicacies. All I wanted was to somehow assimilate to American culture and eat turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing and other traditional thanksgiving dishes. But now I wouldn't have it any other way. Although we have adopted the whole turkey tradition, we still make tamales and they're delicious! This year like I mentioned before I got to travel for work to Costa Rica and Chile, and I absolutely loved both countries! However Chile did leave a lasting impression and I hope to go there soon.
