Totally 80's

Although the New Year is full of excitement, resolutions and new beginnings, it kind of winds down during the second week.  I am very excited for the year to come and I can’t wait to keep my resolutions and see what serendipitous events will occur. I am a bit anxious as well but I usually like to relax during this time. Since it’s been unbelievably cold in Las Vegas, I’ve been spending more time at home. However one of my good friend’s sisters organized a surprised 80’s themed party! I loved themed parties! (whatever it is I’ll dress up). I would love to someday host or be invited to a masque themed party (fingers crossed it will be soon!). For this eighties party I decided to emulate Alex Owens (Flashdance). Of course I could not pull off the whole leotard but I made some minor changes.  This was a great party and I got a chance to get my creative juices going. Being born in the eighties I didn’t get to enjoy much of it but I do love the colors, big hair and excess that is associated with the eighties. I love many of the classic John Hughes movies but one of my favorite quotes from the eighties comes from Ferris Bueller: “Life goes by pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it”. Ciao!
